The Ogden Museum of Southern Art has become a gold standard in the New Orleans art scene. Opening its doors to art lovers and neophytes alike since 2003, the Ogden Museum has showcased various local and internationally renowned talents to help bring the best of visual art to the American South.
CommTech is proud to support the Ogden Museum by providing information technology support to Ogden’s team of artists and curators that works tirelessly to make the exhibits possible. By ensuring that their data is secure, networks are up and running, and all of their IT needs are being met, the Ogden Museum is able to focus its attention on bringing the best experience possible to their visitors.
The museum regularly features a variety of stellar exhibits and collections but the weekly “Ogden After Hours” event is one that is not to be missed. Every Thursday evening from 6-8pm, the Ogden Museum features a variety of local musicians, galleries, exhibits, documentaries, and food pop-ups. One of their most dynamic exhibitions currently on display is entitled, “Top Mob: A History of New Orleans Graffiti” and traces the evolution of graffiti in New Orleans over the past three decades. You can find the “Top Mob” exhibit in the downstairs hallway of Goldring Hall now through November 6, 2016.
Two upcoming exhibitions include, “Simon Gunning and the Southern Louisiana Landscape” and “Maude Schuyler Clay: Mississippi History”. Both exhibitions will have opening receptions on October 1 from 6-9pm. For more information regarding the exhibits please visit www.ogdenmuseum.org/exhibition.
CommTech looks forward to continuing to support the Ogden Museum’s IT needs so that they continue to fulfill their mission of bringing the finest in visual art to our community.
